Those looking to adopt: Courtesy listings are provided as a public service. They are basically free want-ads. SCLRR does not evaluate the dogs that appear in the courtesy listings. You should take care to meet the dog you’re interested in and conduct your own evaluation of the dog before adopting it. Also, please notify us immediately if you feel someone is using this service to sell a dog or puppies for profit.

All entries are automatically deleted after two weeks; upon request by the animal’s owner, an SCLRR volunteer can delete the listing sooner.

Reece is a sweet, energetic, and loyal 2-year-old purebred black lab. She loves to play, she is great with kids and loves other dogs. She has a managed medical issue (she\'s on a medication for urinary incontinence), and is doing well with her current treatment plan. She’s a wonderful, loving dog in our home, we just cannot keep up with her needs at this time in our lives. She would do better in a less busy home (yard, on property) and an owner with capacity for training. Feel free to reach out for more info and a meet and greet!

My friend is looking to rehome her female, blonde, 52 lbs Labrador mix. Named Lady. She is about a year and a half old was adopted from West Valley animal shelter about seven months ago. She is a very sweet girl who will need training and a lot of patience to help her overcome her shyness of people. She uses a doggie door to go potty outside, She loves to play with her toys and bury them in the yard. She’s only been around a smaller dog that lived with them for a while and she did OK with the little dog, but she’s not been around any other dogs so they arent sure how she would be with others. My friend has had several other people, including children visit her home, and her dog has never shown any aggression towards anyone that she has observed. Lady is incredibly shy of people but in way where she will let you approach but she is timid and lets you but she is unsure and trusting you will be nice to her. She is happy when her family is home but she gets bored easily when they leave and she will dig in the garden or chew on things she shouldn’t. She seems to love their pond a lot and loves water. She needs a family that will love her and have patience with her and train her so she has other outlets for her, then chewing on things. My friends husband is dying of cancer and are in their 70/80’s and can not keep up with this little girl. They truly want her to go to a loving home that she will be happy at. They dont want to have to take her back to west valley, she is a sweet girl but they have to focus on her husbands health. Located in Northridge, Ca.

I\'ve had my black lab for 2 years. He\'s good with children, he gets along with other dogs, he is crate trained, potty trained and enjoys going to dog parks and dog beaches. He does need some behavior training because he pulls on the leash when he sees a cats and squirrels.

Meg is a typical 3yr old spayed yellow Labrador; loves everyone especially kids, very food motivated (read- counter surfer, trash diver). Very sweet and loves to cuddle but can also be a bed hog. House trained to use a doggie door. Gets along with all dogs but prefers more mellow dogs. Good around cats & tortoises. Fully vaccinated, current on flea/tick medication
