2024-01-05: Hi! My name is Beebee and I am a two year old petite yellow female lab weighing in at 50 pounds, and boy am I glad that SCLRR scooped me up!! I was brought to the shelter along with several pups that I had recently given birth to. They adopted out my pups - hopefully to good homes - then they spayed me. A few days later I got that nasty new dog disease that was going around and was very sick for over a month. My foster mom took super good care of me, and many people donated money to help pay for my vet visits and medications, and now I'm all better and ready to find my forever home!!My favorite things to do are give kisses and get pets. I learned how to play with toys, fetch a ball and play tug of war. I also learned how to sit, wait, lay down and use a doggy door. I have excellent recall, probably because I am a bit of a velcro dog. There is so much to learn, but I'm ready to learn it all, and my foster mom says I'm really smart! II enjoy car rides, too - I get in the car easily and just lie down and ride quietly. I love every person and dog that I meet, and they all say that I am soooooo cute. I've never met any cats, but my foster mom says I would probably be scared of them! I am still learning not to counter surf, and I'm figuring out what things are OK for me to chew. I am not scared of loud noises - fireworks don't bother me at all! But leaving the house and seeing cars drive by can be scary. I like it A LOT better if there is another dog to walk with me. I am still learning how to walk well on-leash, but I have good leash manners when I'm wearing a pinch collar. I love being with my people. I'm okay if you leave for a little while, but I get a bit worried if you are gone for more than a few hours. Like most labs, I get very excited when you come back home. My foster mom is teaching me not to jump, and sometimes I get so excited that I pee a little. If you love kisses, and are ready to give a super sweet, playful, petite lady a new home, please contact your family rep.
