More detail:
2024-07-24: Let me introduce myself.... My name is Billy Ray! No.... I'm not related to Miley Cyrus. I'm not your typical rambunctious 1.5 year old Lab. I am a gentle, sweet, kind, old soul but in a young, handsome, healthy, good looking, great smile..... I can keep going.... Chocolate Labrador hunka hunka Body! I weigh about 45 lbs.

I'm looking for someone who will be extremely patient with me. You see.... I am VERY shy and need some time to warm up to people. I came from a really bad past life; and well - everything scares me. I like to run and hide if things around me get loud and chaotic. I love Zen. I would probably love living in a library to be honest.... But my foster mom said 'no' to that idea.

So at my current residence.... My foster mom has had some 'canine overnight campers' come and go. I've been fine around them....I have lived with many dogs before and have been fine with all of them. I do like my peace and quiet! She also has a crazy looking critter - called a desert tortoise! I can totally live my life with one of those! They keep to themselves. I do see a cat walk across the fence ever so often. I just stay put, I'm not interested.

I'm really working on trying to love the leash and go for walks.... But honestly everything is scary out in the big wide world. Give me time. I promise I'll work on it. The one thing my mom absolutely loves about me; is that she can run out of the house (to do whatever silly things she does out in the world) and I will just chill here at home. I'm just a Chill Dude! I don't like chewing on things! Shoes.... Sounds stinky and gross. Furniture??? No way am I going to chip my pearly whites! I've got the 'peeing and pooping' outside down perfectly (although if I get scared in the house I may 'piddle' a little bit).... I'm working on getting better at this too!

My ideal home would be one with a quiet environment where there are not a lot of visitors or young kids. Something quiet and Zen. I am very loving to my people once I get to know them and realize I am safe around them. I don't have a mean bone in my body, I am just very scared of things.

I'm really hoping 'YOU' are out there for me. Woof woof I'm waiting.......If you think you can give me a forever home, I promise I will be the bestest boy for you.
