More detail:
2024-11-26: Hi, I'm Squirty! I'm a dashing, 4-year-old, papered black lab with a heart full of love to give. I weigh 95 lbs. My life hasn't been easy - I lost my lab sister and dad when I was very young. More recently, my human mom had to move to a place where she could get extra care. She loved me dearly, but because of her age, I didn't get out much or meet many new people. As a result, I'm a little shy and unsure in new situations.

But since moving in with my foster family, my world is opening up! It took a few days, but now I adore my foster mom and my foster dog sister. I follow them everywhere, and I absolutely love playing ball and learning new things. Once I feel safe, I'm a happy, affectionate guy who loves to snuggle and soak up attention. I'm crate trained, potty trained, and happy to sleep on my bed right next to my foster mom's. That's my favorite spot!

What I'm looking for is a patient, understanding family with another dog to help show me the ropes. My foster dog sister has been a huge help in boosting my confidence. We love playing together, and I don't mind her bossy streak one bit. A calm, dog-savvy home with a routine will help me thrive. Sudden loud noises and fast movements can scare me, so a quieter home without young kids would be best while I adjust.

I know boys like me - shy at first and a little cautious - sometimes have a harder time finding a home. But if you take the time to let me get to know you, I'll reward you with unwavering loyalty, endless love, and the best companionship you could ask for. I just need someone willing to give me a chance. Could that be you?
