More detail:
2025-03-26: Hi! My name is Onyx Girl (Onyx for short), and I found myself all alone when my previous owner dumped me in a grocery store parking lot. Luckily SCLRR rescued me and brought me to a foster home. I'm about 11 weeks old and I weigh 17 lbs.

My foster mom says I'm super smart - I already know how to use a doggy door and am doing really well with potty training! My foster mom also says that even though I'm not a purebred lab, I have the softest, shiny black coat that she wants to squish all day long.

My favorite thing in the world is to play with toys...I like balls and bones and stuffies and chewies - I'm not picky! It's also super fun to play with my foster brother and sister! I love to hang out with my humans and get belly rubs too. I thought I wanted to play with a cat once, but it swiped at me--can you believe that! I decided it was best to respect its boundaries. Since I am a puppy, I am working on my manners - I'm learning to walk on a leash and what is okay to chew on. I get an A+ for sleeping because I sleep quietly in my crate all night! My new family will need to keep training with me so I can be a good citizen.

I saw a nice vet lady who gave me a microchip and some vaccines. She said I was very well behaved for a pup and that I seem like the happiest puppy ever! She told my foster mom I will need a couple more vaccines over the next 2 months.

Ideally my family will not be away from home for very long periods of time.

If you are looking for a smart, snuggly bundle of fun, let your family rep know that I am the one for you!
